FASHION and COSPLAY are NOT SAME!

Oke! Ini kelanjutan dari postingan saya sebelumnya yang mengeluhkan tentang teknis penilaian COSPLAY COMPETITION yang TIDAK seperti Cosplay Competition seharusnya. Kali ini saya tunjukkan dua foto peserta Cosplay Competition tersebut.

Gambar kiri: Peserta ini mendaftarkan diri ke panitia dengan nama Character "Sailor Moon". Kemudian, saat perform di atas panggung, peserta ini berjalan dan berlenggak-lenggok ala model di atas catwalk.

Gambar kanan: Peserta ini mendaftarkan diri ke panitia dengan nama Character "Inuyasha". Kemudian, saat perform di atas panggung, peserta ini beracting memerankan chara Inuyasha sambil mempertunjukkan beberapa jurus dari chara Inuyasha itu sendiri (dengan properti pedang yang dia bawa).

Tapi, sepertinya saya perlu menjelaskan terlebih dahulu apa itu Cosplay dan apa pula itu Fashion.

The Difference Between FASHION and COSPLAY!

FASHION AND COSPLAY ARE NOT THE SAME!!!

FASHION - Someone wearing something that's in fashion doesn't change their personality no matter what they're wearing. They are just normal people who like interesting clothes. Fashion.. It is practical, perhaps somewhat casual, looks professionally made, and usually appears highly personalized by the individual wearing it. You do not have to wear it everyday, but you CAN wear it as often as you want.

COSPLAY - Cosplay is more elaborate or funnier than fashion..Decoration may also be more elaborate, being reminiscent of a performance costume--which is far from practical or casual. It often, but not always, looks homemade, but not necessarily bad or unprofessional. Because they are costumes, they are meant for special occassions, not everyday wear. Costume is only half of it. The other half is the PLAY--Cosplayers act differently in costume than out of it. Another thing people have a problem with seem to be those who wear costumes and try to pass them off as fashion.

Yap! Sepertinya dengan artikel di atas sudah MENJELASKAN sejelas-jelasnya perbedaan antara Fashion dan Cosplay. So? Pasti para readers blog-saya sekalian bisa mengetahui dari dua gambar yang saya pasang di atas, mana yang Cosplay dan mana yang Fashion, kan?

Jadi ga salah donk kalau saya gak terima kalau peserta dari gambar kiri yang jadi juara di Cosplay Competition ini?!
